Summertimes Blues - words & music by Eddie Cochran & Jerry Capehart
============================================================================
This is the second attempt at transposing from sheet music. One thing has
been discovered, I have a lot more fun doing it from memory than from sheet
music. The first portion is similar to the way the original (kinda). My
copy of Summertime Blues has acoustic guitars but I have a tendency towards
the Blue Cheer version. I must admit up front that I am not happy with the
"spoken" portions of the song. Tried my best but I am afraid that the best
is far short of what I am looking for. Oh, well maybe the Adlib Gold?
I usually have my son (Cody) listen to each song before I U/L, just to get
his inputs and stuff. He kinda likes the part of advisor. Well, he has
taken it a little too seriously and become a critic (as if I really need
one). Anyway, Cody has developed a list of his ranking for each song and
it has some merit so I shall start including his ranking (Cody Ranking) in
each *.DOC.

10= "tuff, great!! make me a tape with it played over & over 5 times" ,

Keep in mind that he is 18. Also keep in mind that he did not have any
influence from me. Hell, I haven't had any for 18 years so it isn't going
to take now.
As always, if you don't like something or think something to too loud,
change the damn thing to your taste. Get a beer or what ever and enjoy 4
mins of some old time rock & roll.
Oh yes, I gotta thank Kevin O. & Brian B. for their kind words (I don't use
last names cause I do not have their permission & do not wish to infringe
on their privacy). It is strange how just a little bit of encouragement or
kind words can make a shitty day great. Thanks

If you hear a harmonic or distortion then the problem may be:
05/05/91
--------
1. You did not substitute the DOCS*.BNK as your STANDARD.BNK
2. Your player is messed up
3. Your equipment allows distortions or harmonics. An equalizer, DB meter
and a CD with test frequencies will help "cut-out" you problem areas.
05/25/91
--------
4. Your player may be giving some problems. I am trying MuchMusic v1.1 by
Tsung Hu and have experienced a few problems with some of the elaborate
ROLS. (NOTE: I am not saying that MuchMusic is at fault here!!!!!) I
get QEMM memory errors and also at times the tempo is too fast or slow.
The problem I have may in deed be MY problem and not Hu's. I have yet
to have any problems with Adlib's Composer or Juke Box Player (but what
a pain to use). AS for me I'll keep trying MuchMusic.

5. Still having problem with a player other than AdLib Composer or Juke
Box. Will soon be trying the Sputter Series.

6. The Sputter Series did a decent job, but what a hassle. Went back to
MuchMusic till something else comes along. In all honesty I usually
listen via the Adlib compose of JukeBox. I like the compose sometimes
because it allows to see what the composer was doing and how.
